Know How Many Calories And Fats Chicken Have

The number of calories in chicken can vary by huge amounts, depending on how it is baked, fried, grilled, stewed or broiled. When anyone gets out his or her calorie counter and compares grams to ounces for a daily plate of chicken, he or she might be surprised by the difference in the number of calories between broiled chicken and  fried chicken.

Drumsticks Vs. Chicken Breasts Vs. Chicken Thighs

There is more to preparing and eating chicken to maintain a healthy body weight or to lose weight  than how you cook it. Different parts of the chicken such as Chicken Bones, Chicken Breast, Chicken Drumstick, Chicken Wings and Chicken liver provide different amounts of calories. For example- a roasted chicken drumstick contains more calories and fat per cup than a roasted chicken breast.

One cup of the skinless roasted chicken thigh has 280 calories and 131 fat calories while one cup of skinless roasted chicken drumstick contains 230 calories with 70 of those calories being from fat. So, you can see the huge difference in calorie and fat intake between chicken  drumsticks, chicken breasts, and thighs. Go for the chicken thighs for weight loss  and choose the chicken breasts and  the drumsticks for healthy weight management.

Broiled Chicken Vs. Fried Chicken  Vs. Baked Chicken

One ounce of chicken skin alone has about 90 calories, of which 75 are from fat. One cup of fried chicken breast meat packs a whopping 350 calories, including 160 calories from fat. In the meantime, one cup of broiled and skinless chicken breast meat contains just 220 total calories, with only 45 of those calories being from fat. In addition to this, one cup of skinless roasted chicken breast comes in very close to 220 calories, and 42 calories from fat. On the other hand, skinless baked chicken falls right in between roasted and  fried chicken with 308 calories per cup with only 95 of those calories being from fat.

Like many dieters, if you have been thinking your fried chicken with the skin on it was a low-calorie meal, then you're likely disappointed and feeling misled. just roast or broil skinless chicken breasts rather than frying chicken breasts with skin, and you, without a doubt, will be moving on a healthy path.

In India, many people have been buying chicken meat online these days, the reasons to prefer online butchers are many. A few of them are a wide range of options, low prices, fresh chicken home delivery Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, etc.
